Mark Seefeldt is a research scientist with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado – Boulder. He has a M.S. in atmospheric and oceanic sciences from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences from the University of Colorado - Boulder. Mark’s research focus is on Antarctic and Arctic meteorology and climatology with a combination of modeling and observational field studies to support his research. His primary Arctic research project involves the application of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model as the atmospheric component of the coupled Regional Arctic System Model (RASM). His focus in the Antarctic is in the development of a system of instruments to measurement precipitation at remote and autonomous locations of Antarctica.
